Managing intercurrent illness in type 1 diabetes webinar to take place

Managing intercurrent illness among people with type 1 diabetes will be the focus of a forthcoming webinar being hosted by TREND-UK. 

Entitled ‘How to safely manage manage intercurrent illness in people with type 1 diabetes‘, the online session will take place on Thursday, June 11 at 7pm.

The key learning points will include prioritising the individual with type 1 diabetes care during illness, managing blood glucose and ketones during illness and understanding the appropriate nutrition, hydration and monitoring.

The session will be led by TREND-UK Co-Chairs Debbie Hicks and June James.
