An in-person event for primary care lead nurses in the UK will explore a range of care options for individuals living with type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular-renal-metabolic conditions.

Bev Bostock, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, and Nicki Milne, Primary Care Diabetes Specialist Nurse, will highlight various ways lead nurses can learn, grow and ultimately improve the care they offer to people living with cardiovascular-renal-metabolic (CVRM) conditions.

Set to take place at the Birmingham Conference & Events Centre, the session will run from 9.30am to 4pm on Wednesday, June 11.

Entitled ‘Elevate – Clinical Leadership and Excellence for Nurses in Primary Care’, the event is open to registered primary care lead nurses in the UK with an interest in type 2 diabetes, renal and cardiovascular disease at advanced nurse practitioner level.

This free-to-attend programme is also suitable for diabetes specialist nurses in community roles who have been in post for two years or less.

More than five million people in the UK have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, at least half of whom also have chronic kidney disease. Type 2 diabetes is one of the main risk factors for premature death from cardiovascular disease.
